Skeletons

Today we played a game of "what's this bone," and I actually ended up having to find out.

There's a nice little animation of the skeleton, with a basic description of each bone's role in the body. Nice!

At music this morning, Jack had to bring a written example of music. The teacher asked for short and long symbols, and for Jack to be able to explain them to the class. "Don't worry, they don't have to be in order," she said. Good thing!

He likes to pretend that he's writing words. Today, he wrote a sign telling the cats to keep out of the living room. The music paper he took to class had all of our names on it. He traces letters, but doesn't seem to realize that the writing he's doing isn't actually readable. As I'm typing this, he wrote a letter inviting E. to another playdate. He wrote it by holding 15 crayons in one hand, and marking the paper with lines.
